If you have never heard of Bicester before then now is a good time to get some knowledge on this fantastic little town in the Cherwell district of north-eastern Oxfordshire in England.
You will discover it to be a historic market centre and is one of the most expanding centers within the whole of Oxfordshire.
Bicester is also very easy to reach if you are located near and around this area in England as the towns proximity to junction 9 of the M40 motorway linking it to London, Birmingham and Banbury. It has good road links to Oxford, Kidlington, Brackley, Buckingham, Aylesbury and Witney, as well as rail service.
The historical shopping streets, especially Sheep Street and Market Square, have a diverse range of local and national shops that are mixed in with the finest cafés, pubs and restaurants. It is very central and there are car parks near by so you can easily walk to and from the street.
If you are planning to go on a Friday then you are in for a fairly unique experience as the town centre along with farmers' markets and an occasional French market will be open to the public meaning you can pick up some unique items and be able to taste different cultures first hand without even moving from Bicester ! however if you want to go for something a bit more conventional or you are sticking to a budget then no need to fear as there is always a Sainsbury's near!
However if you are a shopaholic then it truly is the best place for you to go as there are over 130 luxury and designer boutiques for you to visit that are open all year round! There is truly no where else that you can get a relaxed shopping haven in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside.
There are quite a few stately homes to visit and spend your time in as you glance around some of the finest historic homes, where you can step inside the historic days whilst you walk around their spectacular gardens and muse over the art collections.
You will be able to sample some of the finest culinary creations from the best restaurants and cafes in the region. You will discover some of the worlds best chefs who have been internationally acclaimed.
There is also fun to have for all the family as you visit Warwick Castle which offers a host of action-packed experiences that the children will never be bored of and absolutely love.
