Best thing about this website business is you don’t have to store any stock, make deliveries. All you do is collect commission from Amazon.co.uk for sales made from your website.

You don’t have to keep the prices, items up to date either. Amazon.co.uk automatically does it.

So, lets get going.

Step 1: Join Amazon.co.uk As Associate

On Amazon.co.uk, locate a link called ‘Associates’. It’s under ‘Make Money’ on left menu bar. Sign in with your details.

Once signed in, Login.

This is what you will see once you are logged in

Step 2: Create your aStore

Click on aStore and give it a unique tracking ID

Step 3: Create your aStore Pages

Click ‘Add Category Page’ to add categories as shown on pages below

Click ‘Add Category Page’ to add categories as shown on pages below. This shows ‘Apple iMac’ configuration. It uses selected products. Press ‘Add Products’ button.

In the search box, type in ‘apple imac’ and press ‘Add’ button to add products that you want to add..

Repeat the same for LCD TVs configuration

In the search box, type in ‘LCD TV’ and press ‘Add’ button to add products that you want to add..

Add Category Camcorders

Press ‘Add Subcategory’ to add ‘Sony Camcorders’. Press ‘Add Products’ to add products.

In the search box, type in ‘sony camcorder’ and press ‘Add’ button to add products that you want to add..

Press Back to the Category Pages at the bottom of the page.

Save Changes

Press Continue Button

Select a Theme. I have chosen Blue.

Give a name of your liking to this store instead of ’Your Own Amazon Store’. If you have a Logo, type in the path of that image file

Press Continue.

Select Sidebar and its Widgets by simple clicks

Press Finish and Get Link

Done!

Scroll down on the same page on Amazon see various methods of using the astore in a site.

Make sure that you replace http://astore.amazon.co.uk/aceukoffers-21 with your own store URL

For below sections, make sure that you follow instructions you will get from your domain name and hosting account company. I have taken example of GoDaddy

Step 4: Register a Domain Name

Register a domain name of your liking from godaddy.com or ukreg.com or any other good company. Choose a domain name that indicates what the website is about.

Step 5: Choose a Host for your website

Your website needs to be hosted by someone. Below, I have taken example of GoDaddy.com However you can choose any host and follow their instructions.

Since the Amazon sample store does not need any database, you can choose any account that supports HTML. Most hosts will give you an option to choose PHP or ASP. You can choose either. Operating system will also not matter much and you can choose either Linux or Windows hosting.

Once hosting is setup click on my hosting accounts and click on control panel

In control panel, click FTP client at the right bottom corner. Once it opens you need to transfer the index.html file from your PC to the godaddy server.

You Can also do it using other programmes like WS-FTP (you can download it for free)

Step 6: Check if your domain name and your host is linked

You will need to set the nameservers for your domain name. The nameservers to be used will be supplied by the host . Set those for your domain. It means when someone types in the URL, it knows where to go and search.

Type in the URL in the browser and see if it works. If it doesn’t, make sure that you have followed instructions of your hosting account and your domain name.

Once you have set up the nameservers, it may take a few hours until the website is up and running

Step 7: Marketing your website

Study Adwords using their extensive online tutorials.

Write useful articles for free on subjects relevant to your website and submit it to various article directories (Just search article directories on google)
