You might have heard about the different castles that were built in England during the various periods. Among them the most popular are the Norman castles in England. These castles were usually built during the middle ages. This period was known to be one of the most violent periods because a lot of battles took place at this point of time. To fight the battles and as an action of defense lots of castles were built during the Middle Ages. The Norman invasion also took place during this period. The Normans were the tribe which introduced the motte and bailey kind of castles.
