The Wimbledon Championships 2011 will commence on 20th June. The key dates before the commencement are of 7th June when the Wild Card entries will be announced, 13th June the qualifying will begin, on 15th June the seedings will be announced and on 17th June the Wimbledon Draw will be held. In the Championships, there are five main events which are the Gentlemen's and Ladies' Singles, Gentlemen's and Ladies' Doubles and the Mixed Doubles.
The matches of these events are usually on the three show courts with most of their finals taking place on the Centre Court. Apart from the five main events, there are four junior events and five invitational events. The invitational events even include two wheelchair events. The Middle Sunday of the tournament is usually an off day with no play on that day which in 2011 will be on 26th June.
The Gentlemen's and Ladies' Singles start on 20th June, the Gentlemen's and Ladies' Doubles start on 21st June and the Mixed Doubles start on 23rd June. The Ladies' Singles Semi-Finals will be on 30th June and Gentlemen's Singles Semi-Finals will be on 1st July followed by the finals of the Ladies' Singles on 2nd July and on the final day of the tournament the Gentlemen's Singles which is the 3rd of July.
